Each shaker sparkles with a mirror finish and is crafted from solid copper with a solid brass base and accents. A plaque is riveted on the side with either 'S' or 'P' and the riveted handle is left unpolished for better gripping. They both have nickel-lined interiors and a plastic plug on the underside for filling with salt or pepper. The shakers have a nice weight to them and the hole patterns are identical. Lacquers are used to prevent tarnishing and to maintain the polished look. While copper cookware often comes with a lacquer that needs to be removed before use, the lacquer on the salt and pepper shakers does not require removal. A dedicated cook will keep these salt and pepper shakers right on the stove for the pleasure of seasoning with them. Gleaming with a mirror finish, each shaker is crafted of solid copper accented with a solid brass base, a plaque with either 'S' or 'P' on it, and a riveted handle, which is left unpolished for better gripping.
