Review Deluxe Chocolate Melter / IRC:This electric chocolate melter is ideal for use at home, heating up to 1 pound of chocolate to a precise temperature in order to melt the chocolate throughly and perfectly, without burning. The melter can be used to bring pure chocolate to temper, so that it re-hardens with the proper sheen. Use it to melt pure or compound chocolate for making homemade chocolates, truffles, and candies. It will also melt chocolate or caramels for use in baking or for dipping fruit, and is great for chocolate fondues. Includes 2 heart (8 cavities each) and 2 chocolate cup (8 cavities each) moulds. Melting time will vary, but usually takes approximately 20 - 30 minutes to melt 1 pound of chocolate. Melting cup holds approx. 10 oz unmelted chocolate or 1 lb melted chocolate. To temper pure chocolate, melt chocolate, turn off the melter and allow chocolate to cool to approx. 80 - 84°F/25 - 27 C, then re-warm to temper, approx.
