First add the ice, then the non-alcoholic juices and ingredients, and finally the ahem, booze. Put the stainless steel container on firmly and hold as you shake the glass and steel container in a diagonal motion away from your body. Stop, turn the shaker on its axis and shake again briefly but firmly. To open the shaker, ease the top off by pulling upwards and turning firmly, or tap the part below the join sharply against the edge of a table. This smart-looking, classic cocktail shaker is just one of WMF's high-quality bar tools rendered in contemporary European style. The shaker comprises two pieces: a base made of 18/10 stainless steel with a satin finish and a measuring glass clearly calibrated in ounces and centiliters. The base stands 6-1/2 inches high and the measuring glass 5-3/4 inches. These pieces are heavy and durable as well as beautiful and go safely into the dishwasher. Review WMF Loft Boston Shaker / WMF 06 1355 6030:Professional bartenders can put on quite a show with a two-part cocktail shaker, and now the home barkeep can too. WMF worked with leading German design firm Fiedeler & Raasch to create this Boston shaker for the Loft collection. The larger base unit is made of brushed 18/10 stainless steel, while the slightly smaller half is made of thick, durable glass and stores inside the metal half. Calibrations on the glass are in both metric and imperial. After ice, juice, and spirits are mixed, the shaker’s two halves fit together and stay together by suction during shaking. A little twisting and pulling and the two halves come apart for pouring. The stainless-steel Loft strainer (available separately) comes into play at this point.
